Charming historic building with beautifully crafted decor. On-site bar exclusively offers a pleasant spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Breakfast features a rich selection, catering to various dietary preferences, and the setting allows for easy access to nearby attractions like the cathedral and Abbey Gardens.
Getting to my room was an adventure in acrobatics thanks to a narrow spiral stairwell. carrying luggage up those small, steep steps felt like a trek. The room itself lacked adequate furniture—specifically, it could have used a wardrobe and more surface space in the bathroom. inadequate charging points by the bed made it tricky to keep devices powered overnight. Being in an older building, I found the room to be slightly cramped, offering less value compared to what I expected given the rates I paid.

we had such a nice stay at the chantry hotel! our room was comfy, clean and very warm. We even got a cup of tea on arrival. the breakfast was super delicious with loads of options, and the staff were so friendly! it’s also in a great spot close to the town center and there was parking available, which was a big plus. having keys to both our room and the front door made it easy to come and go as we pleased.

Charming small hotel with delightful wooden floors!. The room was lovely and we enjoyed the short stroll to the local attractions. The area is quite peaceful. perfect for a relaxing getaway.
Despite the lovely decor, it felt like a gym workout hauling our bags up those spiral stairs. A not-so-charming surprise from an otherwise lovely stay!

Our group had a great time. We explored Nowton Park and tried out the Fuller's Mill Garden. The location is perfect, and it's only a short walk to other attractions. The breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were super friendly. Expect a charming atmosphere with great wood accents.
The only issue we encountered was a problem with the card machine at check-out, which was a bit inconvenient.

A lovely stay with very spacious and clean accommodations, perfectly located in a quiet area yet close to town. The warm welcome with tea, coffee, and biscuits made a great impression. Breakfast was cooked to order, featuring high-quality ingredients that enhanced the overall experience. the noise from outside was noticeable at times, and the limited parking options posed a minor inconvenience. The absence of an on-site elevator may be a consideration for those with mobility issues.

Immaculate rooms and delicious breakfast
I had a delightful stay, with a warm welcome upon arrival and a cozy Standard Double Room that was impeccably clean. The highlight was definitely the breakfast, which featured a wide range of options, all freshly prepared to order. The hotel's location was also perfect, making it easy to explore the local attractions. One area for improvement would be to enhance the Wi-Fi connection for better reliability.
